1 Electromagnetic Induction
A transformer has 50 turns in primary and 100 turns in secondary. If the primary is connected to 220 V d.c. supply, then the voltage across the secondary will be : 1) 440 V 2) 220 V 3) 110 V 4) 0 V
Given $$N_1=50$$ turns $$N_2=100$$ turns $$V_1=220$$ volts. For transformer we know that $$\large{\frac{N_1}{N_2}}=\large{\frac{V_1}{V_2}}$$ $$or,\ \large{\frac{50}{100}}=\large{\frac{220}{V_2}}$$ $$or,\ V_2=440$$ volts
